The Director will serve as the primary interface and thought leader between our organization and our contract manufacturing partners while working cross functionally with R&D, Quality, Operations, finance, legal and supply chain teams to deliver business objectives and supplier excellence. This role is responsible for building, managing, and optimizing relationship with contract manufacturers to ensure quality, cost, competitiveness, and supply resilience. This position is an exciting opportunity to work with Medtronic's Diabetes business. Strategic Sourcing & Category Management Lead thought leader for Contract manufacturing Category and Operations sourcing focused on high value CM relationships. Analyze competitive landscape, spend, market trends, and supplier performance to identify cost reduction and service improvement opportunities. Develop and execute category strategies that align with manufacturing and enterprise goals, ensuring compliance with FDA and ISO 13485 regulations. Alignment of contract Mfg strategy with R&D and Manufacturing roadmaps. Supplier/CM Selection & Contract Management Manage end-to-end sourcing processes including RFPs, negotiations, Supplier evaluation, and contract development. Partner with Finance, Legal, Compliance, and Quality to ensure contracts meet regulatory and operational requirements. Negotiate terms of engagement and cost in line with needs of the business. Drive supplier selection based on total value, innovation capability, scalability, and risk profile. Supplier Leadership Serve as the point of contact for contract manufacturers, ensuring strong governance, performance management and relationship development to deliver value to the business. Monitor Supplier risk and support the development of contingency and continuity plans across global regions. Drive cost and efficiency improvements across the value stream by leveraging suppliers. Drive portfolio performance across the CM covering pre and post market engagements. Ensure we are capturing value across the entire business at the supplier Cross-Functional Collaboration & Program Management Work closely with Global Manufacturing, IT, Finance, Quality, and Compliance teams to ensure sourcing solutions support business needs and compliance standards. Manage project timelines, stakeholder expectations, and communication across all internal stakeholders. Must have executive presence to lead at all levels of the organization. Track and report on savings, value realization, and program status to senior leadership. Drive ideation of ideas across functions. Qualifications

Required Qualifications : Requires a Bachelor’s degree in a related field and a minimum of 10 years relevant experience with 7+ years of managerial experience, or an advanced degree with a minimum of 8 years prior relevant experience with 7+ years of managerial experience. Nice to have Manufacturing operations leadership experience Experience in medical device, pharmaceutical, or life sciences industries is strongly preferred. Proven track record of delivering cost savings and service improvements in a global, matrixed environment. Strong knowledge of contract negotiation, supplier performance management, and regulatory compliance (FDA, ISO 13485). Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and project management skills. Proficiency in sourcing and contract management MBA or Master’s in Engineering, Healthcare, or Operations Lean Six Sigma, PMP, or relevant certification a plus Experience with digital sourcing platforms or analytics tools Global sourcing experience with specific focus on contract manufacturing is a strong advantage Travel

PR) locations (USD): 168800.00 - 253200.00. This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP) and an annual long-term incentive plan. The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).
