We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Head of Business Development to lead growth initiatives in the grid infrastructure sector across Germany. This is a pivotal leadership role focused on driving commercial success, forging strategic partnerships, and shaping the future of energy transmission and distribution in one of Europe’s most critical markets. The business unit includes 105 people, split across different departments, for the sales and business development functions, there is 54 people currently in the team, with a clear layer of leadership positioned already. You can expect 10 direct reports. Key Responsibilities

Develop and execute a comprehensive business development strategy focused on grid infrastructure solutions, including HVDC, substations, and digital grid technologies. Identify and cultivate relationships with key stakeholders including utilities, transmission system operators (TSOs), government bodies, and private sector partners. Lead market intelligence efforts to anticipate trends, regulatory changes, and investment opportunities in the German energy landscape. Collaborate with engineering, product, and commercial teams to tailor offerings to market needs and ensure competitive positioning. Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and in high-level negotiations. Drive pipeline growth and oversee the full lifecycle of strategic deals, from origination to closure. Qualifications

Proven track record in business development or commercial leadership within the energy, infrastructure, or technology sectors. Deep understanding of the German grid infrastructure market, including regulatory frameworks and key players. Strong network across utilities, TSOs, and energy stakeholders in Germany. Excellent strategic thinking, negotiation, and communication skills. Fluent in German and English. What We Offer
