About the Job
Birdsong is a 2 Michelin starred restaurant in San Francisco, focused on heritage cuisine by Chef Chris Bleidorn. We are seeking a passionate Lead Captain to continue growing and building upon our core dining room team. The Lead Captain at Birdsong takes responsibility for helping maintain and build our standards of service and upholds a warm atmosphere of hospitality and service at Birdsong. This includes leadership responsibilities such as training dining room staff, scheduling, overseeing the guest experience, on-boarding new employees, inventory and maintenance duties, and maintaining streamlined communication between our kitchen and dining room. Responsibilities and Requirements
Prioritizes and cares deeply for providing a great guest experience Passion for food, dining, and genuine hospitality Positive, team focused attitude Problem solving ability, especially in a high stress environment Excellent interpersonal skills Ability to train and grow staff Strong wine knowledge At least 2-3 years of experience (fine dining environment preferred) The interview process will include an in-person meeting, followed by an observational stage.
