Our stunning community at Almond Heights is seeking a Director of Sales to join our team of senior living heroes! Shift: Tue, Wed, Thur, Fri, Sat 9:00am-5:00pm The Director of Sales embodies Yoi Shigoto, “the good work,” by driving the sales efforts and outcomes of the senior living community, which includes managing inquiries, tours, professional referral development, first impressions, and understanding market trends and updates. The Director of Sales position is incredibly important for setting the stage of MBK Senior Living as the senior living provider of choice from the very first contact. The characteristics that a successful Director of Sales has at MBK Senior Living possess are empathy, curiosity, drive, commitment, passion, and ability to create lasting relationships, with both prospects and professionals.

Essential Job Duties

Responsible for community’s sales efforts and outcomes, while maintaining budgeted occupancy by driving the number of qualified inquiries, tours, professional referrals (85%)

Directors of Sales respond to new inquiries from multiple channels (Website, walk-in/drive-by, local referral agencies, Virtual Sales Assistant, 24/7 live chat, A Place for Mom, Caring.com) and enters all completed sales activities and detailed notes within the CRM in real-time.

Utilizes MBK follow-up plans to achieve desired communication levels with new inquiries, including scheduling the next step after each completed activity according to MBK Hot/Warm/Cold expectations.

Maintains thorough and detailed database management within the CRM in real-time, “if it’s not in the database, it didn’t happen.”

Will be the primary point of contact for the prospect/family or referral agency until the move-in process begins, connecting relevant team members as needed to move the sales process forward.

Assists with training the community team in first impressions, inquiry calls, and effective tours with prospects and professionals.

Works with the Executive Director to ensure that all team members understand that sales is everyone’s responsibility and helps conduct training where needed.

Conducts daily community walk-throughs to ensure the community is ready for all guests, especially prospects and professionals.

Ensures that grounds, common areas and models are “show-ready” at all times, and up to MBK standards.

Identifies and maintains positive relationships with industry influencers and key partners to assure ongoing referrals and opportunities to promote the community.

Builds and maintains relationships with professional referrals and maintains a weekly outreach plan.

Determines key referral sources and establishes a plan to advance relationships to generate referrals.

Plans and conducts internal events to showcase our communities and attends local market area events.

Maintains referral database with contact information and interactions; determines strategy to advance relationship to referral status.

Creates, updates and manages quarterly Sales and Marketing Plan in collaboration with the Executive Director.

Develops understanding of annual operating budgets, revenue generation and value pricing; evaluates market trends and competition to adjust marketing strategy.

Provides concierge team members with information regarding upcoming prospect and professional tours; trains concierge team on MBK standards and creating positive first impressions.

Maintains up-to-date CRM with contact information, notes, and next steps; stays current on prospect follow-up plans.

Determines personalized strategy for each prospect interaction to advance the sales process and analyzes leads to inform marketing plans.

Collaborates on moving in procedures and attends community networking functions to promote MBK and its culture.

Interviews, trains, manages/supervises Sales Assistant (if applicable), and ensures compliance with policies and regulations.

Attends daily stand-up, weekly sales & marketing meetings, and other planning activities; presents sales and marketing initiatives at community meetings.

Prices community apartments to maximize revenue and sales; determines incentives to close sales and move residents in.

Communicates with leadership to align on pricing and revenue strategies.

Non-Essential Job Duties (15%)

Performs other duties or special projects as assigned; ensures compliance with laws/regulations and community policies.

Displays tact, professionalism and friendliness when dealing with residents and visitors; empathy with prospects and families.

Collaborates with team to maintain a professional and positive image and ensures promotional materials meet MBK standards.

Supervisory/Management Responsibilities

Sales Assistant = 0 to 1 employee

Minimum Job Requirements

College degree or relevant experience required

Sales and Marketing experience preferred with a successful track record

Background clearances as required by government regulations

Health screening and negative TB test results within required timeframe

Valid state driver’s license and valid insurance

Solid PC skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office programs

Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English

Comfort with public speaking and presenting to small groups

Preferred Job Requirements

Bachelor’s degree coursework in communications, public relations, marketing or related field

Successful track record in sales/marketing

Weekend/evening flexible hours for peak service times

Physical Demands

Must be mobile and able to move throughout the workday and community

Sitting for prolonged periods; walking; occasional squatting and reaching overhead

Ability to lift/carry up to 40 pounds

Able to operate a motor vehicle and transport team members

Able to assist in moving residents when necessary

Pay: $37-$41/hr
