Develop and strengthen relationships at the assigned Strategic Distribution Partners to capitalize on sales harmonies, leverage nVent scale, and drive profitable growth across all nVent brands. Translate opportunities from partner trends/conditions into value for nVent. Build and implement growth‑oriented business plans with Strategic Distribution Partners by gaining agreement, establishing performance measures, and using action plans and KPIs to drive performance. Collaborate to ensure quality and responsiveness of all support provided, continually aiming for a superior ease of doing business experience. Work with cross‑functional teams (sales, marketing, operations and finance) to drive sales activity and achieve annual financial objectives. Monitor distributor orders/shipments/point of sale in relation to the annual operating plan (AOP) and initiate corrective actions as necessary. Collaborate effectively with local sales teams to execute a specific sales strategy and activity. Note: This posting is for a single hire across multiple locations. You Have
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience. Ideally, 7+ years in strategic account management or a distribution management role in the electrical/electronics space with a focus on online/ecommerce/e‑Catalog accounts. Ideally, 3+ years distributor sales experience in electrical/electronic/commercial/MRO/industrial markets, maintaining relationships and handling conflict at a senior level. Willingness to work 100% remotely and travel 25‑50% of the time; valid driver’s license required. Proficient written and verbal English skills with the ability to communicate clearly. Ability to form relationships and leverage partnerships to advance the strategic plan; alignment to organizational strategy to seize opportunities. Strong negotiation skills, including collaboration to reach decisions using compromise, persuasion, and tact. Ability to handle distributor conflict while maintaining composure and integrity. nVent’s pay scale is based on the expected range of total target cash pay for this job and the employee’s work location. Total target cash includes base salary and sales incentive target when annual goals are met. Pay is based on knowledge, skills, abilities, experience, education and performance, and complies with applicable wage requirements. If annual sales performance exceeds goals, total target cash may exceed the pay scale maximum. Benefit Overview
