As a Corporate Catering Sales Manager at Estancia La Jolla, you will be responsible for providing complete account management for the assigned territory to include corporate meetings and events. Respond to incoming leads and RFPs to secure opportunities for available hotel event spaces. Provide detailed proposals in a high-volume environment. Outline available event venues, pricing minimums and rental fees with timely response to clients. Meet with clients for site tours to secure potential bookings. Develop long-term relationships with clients by maintaining consistent verbal and written communication, attention to detail and customer service in a luxury market. Partner with clients to plan function details, upsell food, beverage, and room rental to meet sales goals. Maintain detailed client information in property systems. Prepare correspondence to customers and hotel department operations managers including Banquet Event Orders, Group Resumes, and Diagrams. Serve as onsite liaison during event functions with clients and the operations team. Approve final billing. Attend Business Review and Department Meetings. You

High school diploma or GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality desired. At least one year of related sales experience (e.g., Event Coordination in Conference Services or Catering Sales) in a similar sized hotel/resort or winery operation. Solid knowledge of hotel service standards, guest relations and etiquette. Ability to sell in a high-volume, time-sensitive environment. Ability to learn, follow and maintain effective sales processes to maximize revenue while adhering to operating criteria. Completes all required training as scheduled. Strong knowledge of sales techniques with negotiation and closing skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) and able to learn hotel computer systems. Delphi FDC experience desired. Ability to work AM, PM, weekend and holiday shifts as required. Experience within a hotel/resort environment preferred. EEO Statement
