Office Locations: Chicago, Denver, Indianapolis, Madison, Milwaukee, Minneapolis, Naples, Phoenix, San Diego, St. Louis, Tampa, Tucson, Washington D.C. Responsible for directing and prioritizing litigation docket workflows; processing incoming communications sent to one or more department inboxes; helping implement department policies and procedures; training Litigation Docket Specialists in department protocols; managing PTO requests; and coordinating transfers. Responsibilities/Duties: Workflow Coordinate daily litigation docketing workflows Troubleshoot questions and issues identified by Litigation Docket Specialists and practitioners Process communications sent to one or more department inboxes Act as back-up support for Litigation Docket Specialists Direct the daily clearing of critical deadlines Collaborate with Manager of Docket Operations to implement new policies and procedures Help manage calendar sync, MyView, and court rule modules within docket system Assist with quality control processes, system audits, and data clean-up projects Administrative Review timesheets each pay period Manage PTO and overtime requests Train new Litigation Docket Specialists Conduct annual performance evaluations with Manager of Docket Operations Transfers Assist in the coordination of incoming matters Partner with client teams to identify and calendar pending deadlines associated with incoming cases Facilitate the opening of matters with client teams and Records Department Create reports for outgoing transfers Work with Litigation Docket team to close and de-docket outgoing matters Other Duties Serve as a mentor for Litigation Docket Specialists Prepare custom reports for internal and external clients Participate in the evaluation, testing, and implementation of new technology solutions Stay informed of changes to US federal and state court procedures Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned Education/Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in litigation docketing Associate degree or higher preferred Strong substantive knowledge of US federal and state docketing practices. Experience with IP litigation docketing a plus. Familiarity with searching dockets via publicly accessible databases such as PACER Knowledge of litigation docket software, such as Compulaw Vision, Milana, and Juralaw Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to work effectively and collaboratively as part of multi-office team Possess strong written and oral communication skills Comfortable learning and adapting to changing workflows and/or procedure Quarles & Brady offers competitive salaries, bonus and great benefits to employees including paid time off, health, vision, dental, 401k, life, disability and much more.
