A construction and design-build firm is seeking a
Project Engineer
to join their growing team in Pleasanton, California. This role plays a critical part in supporting large-scale industrial and commercial construction projects from start to finish. The
Project Engineer
will work closely with Project Managers and Superintendents to manage submittals, RFIs, schedules, contracts, and quality control processes while helping ensure projects are completed on time, on budget, and with the highest standards of safety. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, ambitious, and eager to learn, with the ability to ask the right questions, own their work, and communicate effectively across teams. Salary Range
$90,000.00/yr - $95,000.00/yr Project Engineer Responsibilities
Receive and review submittals, write and track RFIs, and assist with change orders Prepare and maintain meeting agendas, minutes, procurement logs, and other project documentation Maintain and distribute current construction drawings, specifications, and records to subcontractors and project teams Support subcontract and schedule administration, including tracking agreements, purchase orders, and cost reports Assist with QA/QC efforts by verifying materials, documenting site activities, and supporting project closeout Monitor jobsite safety and OSHA compliance alongside project leadership Collaborate with project teams to ensure schedules, budgets, and reporting are accurate and up to date Project Engineer Requirements
1–2 years of related experience working on industrial construction projects Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or related field Hands-on exposure to Bluebeam or Procore is preferred Strong attention to detail with an ambitious and proactive mindset Clear and effective communication skills Willingness to ask questions, take ownership, and learn quickly Benefits
