Overview
ABM is hiring a Security Project Manager to support a mission-critical operations account within our eMobility sector. We’re looking for a detail-oriented and highly organized Security Program Manager – Documentation to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating, maintaining, and optimizing documentation that supports our security policies, procedures, standards, and technical programs. You’ll collaborate closely with teams across security, compliance, and operations to ensure all documentation is accurate, clearly written, and aligned with both organizational goals and regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities
Develop, implement, and maintain a comprehensive documentation program for the Physical Security organization (SOPs, protocols, policies, standards, incident response playbooks, etc.). Translate complex security concepts and technical requirements into clear, concise, and user-friendly documentation. Establish frameworks, templates, and guidelines to ensure documentation is clear, consistent, and aligned with organizational standards. Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) in security, compliance, and operations to ensure technical accuracy. Design and implement a documentation auditing program to validate adherence to established SOPs and standards. Partner with security leaders, operations staff, compliance, and legal to gather inputs, validate content, and secure sign-off for all documentation. Serve as the central coordinator for review cycles, version control, and approvals. Identify gaps, inefficiencies, or risks in current documentation practices and recommend solutions. Develop templates, style guides, and best practices to standardize security-related communications. Establish metrics and reporting to track compliance, version currency, and document usage. Ensure publishing requirements (special access, coding, formatting) are met without disruption to timelines. Ensure documentation aligns with frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST, SOC 2, HIPAA, and GDPR as applicable. Assist in knowledge management initiatives, making security documentation accessible and understandable for both technical and non-technical audiences. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Technical Writing, Communications, Information Security, or related field (or equivalent practical experience). 3+ years of experience in technical writing, preferably with a focus on security, compliance, or IT infrastructure. Strong understanding of information security concepts, frameworks, and regulatory requirements. Exceptional writing, editing, and organizational skills with strong attention to detail. Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Proficiency in documentation tools such as Confluence, SharePoint, MadCap Flare, or similar. Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and project management tools (e.g., Jira, Asana). Experience documenting security programs in enterprise, cloud, or SaaS environments (Preferred Qualifications). Working knowledge of risk management, compliance frameworks, and incident response processes. Background in cybersecurity, IT, or a technical discipline. Ability toCreate diagrams, workflows, and visual aids to enhance clarity of documentation. Pay
Pay:
