Overview Position Title: Director of Student Activities and Engagement

Department: Student Activities

Position Category: Staff Full Time

The Director for Student Activities and Engagement is responsible for planning, coordinating, supervising, and evaluating student activities and programs sponsored by the Office of Student Activities and Engagement and maintaining the Activities Calendar. The Director for Student Activities and Engagement supervises the Assistant Director for Student Activities and Engagement.

Required Qualifications

Bachelors degree. Experience working with college students. Ability to work early, late, and weekend hours

Preferred Qualifications

Masters degree in Education, Student Affairs, or a related field. 1-3 years of experience in higher education

Responsibilities

Promote effective working relationships among faculty, staff, and students

Utilize Presence Software to track and measure outcomes related to student participation and attendance at programs and activities

Provide Club Officer and Advisor Training annually

Create and publish monthly calendars for Student Activities

Oversee registration and coordination of all LMU recognized student organizations

Design and produce flyers, advertising media and social media appropriate for attracting interest in student participation and engagement at events

Ensure that programmed activities enhance the mission statement of the university

Advise the Lincoln Activities Board

Supervise Graduate Assistants for Student Activities and Campus Recreation and Wellness

Oversee Five Star Club Program

Plan, implement, and evaluate programs in student activities, campus recreation and wellness, and commuter student engagement

Support students in becoming involved in clubs and organizations

Oversee Student Activities budget

Assist with New Student Registration

Complete required institutional assessments, program accreditation documentation, and other reports necessary for the operation and advancement of university programs

Supervise part-time Fitness Instructors

Perform other duties as assigned by the Associate Dean of Students

Promote the mission of Lincoln Memorial University to all faculty, staff, students and to the community at large

Participate on University committees
