Overview Sr. Petrophysicist based in San Antonio, TX. The role involves coordination of petrophysical data collection, formation evaluation and running petrophysical models, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams on exploration, development, production program execution, and reservoir characterization.

Responsibilities

Plan and execute formation evaluation programs and procedures for coring, wireline logging, data quality control, computer processing, and data management.

Integrate and calibrate core and wireline log data to provide volumetric determinations, lithological identifications, and mechanical rock properties for horizontal well targeting and frac height estimation.

Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on asset development and reservoir characterization.

Mentor other geoscientists in petrophysical methods and best practices.

Qualifications

Minimum 5+ years of experience performing petrophysical analysis on unconventional resource plays.

Experience in formation evaluation planning; drilling well surveillance, including well disposition; and completion recommendations.

Good communication skills and ability to work seamlessly in multi-disciplinary teams.

Bachelor’s Degree in geology, physics, petroleum engineering or geological engineering (or related field).

Proficient in use of petrophysical software and modelling.

Position will be filled at a level commensurate with experience.
