Northrop Grumman is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Manager 2 to lead the Sentinel Program’s Manufacturing Engineers (ME) supporting the development of the Command and Launch (C&L) Segment equipment. The position is located in Roy, UT or Ogden, UT and supports the Sentinel program. This role reports to the Sentinel Manufacturing leadership team and interfaces with multiple IPTs, customers and suppliers. What You’ll Get To Do

Lead the team of Manufacturing Engineers for the execution of specific SOWs provided by the C&L IPT Manufacturing Lead. Possess working knowledge of ME processes for producibility analysis, manufacturing plans, work instructions, supplier capability assessment using MRA processes, and ability to collate metrics for internal and customer reporting. Collaborate with the C&L IPT Manufacturing Lead to assess SOW requirements related to Manufacturing/Manufacturing Engineering for electronic and structural SOWs. Develop, coordinate and drive resource plans, work plans and visibility metrics aligned with the Sentinel Integrated Master Schedule. Provide guidance, direction and training for the ME team. Ensure ME processes and Digital Engineering tools are applied consistently and drive production issue resolution, root cause analysis, and regular management reporting. Develop team members for growth in scope and job satisfaction. Establish milestones, monitor adherence to master plans, identify opportunities for improvement and implement solutions. Conduct performance assessments of team members against goals. Demonstrate strong organizational and interpersonal skills and the ability to multi-task and communicate effectively with customers, suppliers and leadership. Position Benefits

You’ll Bring These Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree and 6 years of related experience, or a Master’s degree with 4 years of experience. Active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance at time of application, current and within scope, with the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period of time. 1 year of experience with DoD weapon system conceptual and preliminary design, related to design analysis cycles, cost vs. capability trade studies, and multi-discipline design integration. At least 1 year leading a project and/or driving performance against schedule. Demonstrated experience leading a technical and complex program effort, driving manufacturing through EMD phase to mature processes and product deliveries. Excellent verbal and written communications skills. Nice To Have: 3 years of experience with Land Based Missile Systems modification deployment programs. 3 years of experience with DoD weapon system conceptual and preliminary design, including design analysis cycles, trade studies, and multi-discipline design integration. Experience operating in a dynamic production environment with increasing schedules and high delivery rates. Experience interfacing with multiple suppliers to ensure manufacturing capability and on-time delivery. Leadership, problem-solving, strong work ethic, and excellent communications and interpersonal skills. Familiarity with Northrop Grumman Manufacturing Engineering processes; knowledge of Production Planning; experience with SAP; and prior experience with ICBM Command and Launch mechanical, electrical and electronic systems. #sentinelleadership Salary : Primary Level Salary Range: $111,700.00 - $167,500.00. The salary range is a general guideline and may vary based on scope, responsibilities, candidate experience, education and market conditions. Overtime, shift differential, discretionary bonuses and long-term incentives may apply where applicable.
