Electrical Design Engineer - Healthcare
– P2S. We are a professional engineering services firm serving healthcare and other markets, with offices nationwide. We are seeking a talented Electrical Design Engineer to support our healthcare studio in Long Beach or Irvine with a hybrid schedule. Employment Type: Full-time. Work Schedule: Hybrid — 3 days in-office, 2 days remote. Location: Long Beach, CA or Irvine, CA. Salary Range: $97,760–$126,880, based on experience. Responsibilities
Independently prepare, plan, and execute small to medium-sized healthcare projects with general supervision Review existing as-built drawings and conduct field investigations Set up drawings and models for multiple disciplines; coordinate design schedules and deliverables Perform feasibility studies and energy calculations using EnergyPro or IES VE Develop single-line diagrams, load schedules, and design lighting systems and controls Engineer normal, emergency, and renewable power systems; conduct Arc Flash, Short Circuit, and Coordination Power System Studies Experience with low-voltage building systems (Fire Alarm, Security, Voice/Data, Nurse Call) is a plus Prepare construction estimates and specifications for small projects; independently develop small reports and perform peer reviews Construction Administration: review submittals, respond to RFIs, produce meeting reports and punch lists; participate in construction meetings and provide clarifications Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field 2–7 years of engineering design experience post-graduation or equivalent Prior healthcare/hospital project experience preferred LEED Accreditation is a plus Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, AutoCAD; National Electrical Code is a plus Education & Certification
