Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Estimator/Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a solid background in engineering and manufacturing processes, with a focus on spring manufacturing, metal stamping, and tube forming. This role involves evaluating project specifications, preparing cost estimates, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget. Responsibilities

Analyze technical drawings, specifications, and project requirements to develop accurate estimates for spring manufacturing, metal stamping, and tube forming projects. Collaborate with engineering, production, and sales teams to gather information required for accurate costing and project planning. Prepare detailed cost estimates, including material, labor, overhead, and production costs, using advanced estimation software and tools. Evaluate supplier quotes and negotiate pricing for raw materials and components. Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments to determine project viability. Review and update estimates based on changes in project scope, materials, or design. Assist in the preparation of bid proposals and contract documentation. Monitor project progress, providing timely updates to management and stakeholders. Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements. Stay current with industry trends, regulations, and best practices in manufacturing processes. Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing Technology, or a related field. Minimum of 5 years of experience in estimation or engineering within the spring manufacturing, metal stamping, or tube forming industries. Strong proficiency in CAD software and estimation tools. Excellent analytical and math skills, with a keen attention to detail. Familiarity with cost accounting and financial analysis. Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to project management. Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Understanding of manufacturing processes, materials, and quality standards relevant to the industry. Professional certification in software such as SolidWorks, Mastercam, etc., and familiarity with Lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement initiatives. Company Description
