Required Skills & Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (civil or environmental)
- EI Certification (Engineer in Training) completed.
- 2+ years experience in drainage roadway design
- 1+ years FDOT experience relevant to roadway design.
- Valid Drivers license.

- ICPR Experience
- PE License
- MicroStation, FDOT CONNECT and ORD (openroads designer) experience
Responsibilities
Design roadway drainage systems in accordance with FDOT standards, including cross drains, side drains, storm sewer systems, ditches, ponds, and outfalls
Perform hydrologic and hydraulic analyses using FDOT-accepted methodologies and software
Prepare drainage reports, stormwater management plans, and technical documentation for FDOT and regulatory agencies
Support the development of drainage plans, calculations, cost estimates, quantities, and permitting packages
Coordinate with roadway, structures, and environmental teams as well as subconsultants
Assist in reviewing submittals and providing QA/QC for internal or external drainage work
Stay informed on FDOT drainage manual updates, regulatory changes, and water management district permitting processes
