As a
Senior Quality Engineer
(Level 3), you will be an integral part of our quality assurance team, focused on improving and maintaining the highest quality standards across both internal operations and strategic supplier relationships. This role is an individual contributor position requiring close collaboration with cross-functional teams, including operations, engineering, customers, and suppliers. You will be responsible for developing and implementing quality control systems, identifying risks, ensuring compliance with industry-specific standards, and driving improvements to deliver high-quality products and services. Key Responsibilities
Quality Standards Development: Create and implement robust quality standards that align with industry requirements and company objectives. Quality Control Systems: Design, implement, and continuously improve comprehensive quality control systems for materials, equipment, processes, and products. Inspection & Testing: Conduct thorough inspections and testing to ensure all quality specifications and safety regulations are met. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with operations managers, engineering teams, and other stakeholders to identify and implement effective quality control measures and process improvements. Supplier Management: Actively engage with suppliers to monitor, evaluate, and improve their quality performance. Manage the resolution of quality-related issues and corrective actions for defective parts. Performance Monitoring: Track and report supplier performance using key metrics, ensuring compliance with DDI's quality expectations and industry-specific standards. Continuous Improvement: Lead and support ongoing continuous improvement initiatives, identifying opportunities for cost reduction, efficiency gains, and quality enhancements both internally and at suppliers. Troubleshooting & Problem Solving: Take a hands-on approach to troubleshooting quality issues, providing actionable solutions to resolve complex product or production problems. Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks associated with the supply chain, ensuring minimal disruption to quality, on-time delivery, and product reliability. Training & Mentorship: Provide guidance to junior quality engineers and other team members on quality standards, systems, and processes. Qualifications & Skills
Proven Experience: 7-10 years of experience in Quality Engineering, with a focus on high-tech or semiconductor industries. Experience working with Contract Manufacturers is a plus. Technical Expertise: Strong proficiency in statistical tools such as Minitab, WinSCP, JMP, and SPC analysis. Familiarity with process qualification, Gage R&R studies, and capability studies. Problem Solving: Demonstrated ability to drive complex problem-solving initiatives and lead cross-functional teams to effective solutions. Analytical Skills: Exceptional analytical skills, with experience using tools such as Value Stream Mapping (VSM) and root cause analysis methodologies (e.g., 8D, FMEA). Supplier Relationship Management: Extensive experience in working with suppliers to manage quality performance, corrective actions, and continuous improvement efforts. Industry Knowledge: Knowledge of semi-conductor processes and industry-specific standards is highly preferred. Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage with various levels of the organization and external partners. Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment. Education
Required: Technical Degree (STEM field). Preferred: Bachelor's or Master's in Electrical, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline. Certifications
ASQ Certification (CQE, CQA, etc.) preferred. Value Stream Mapping and Visio proficiency preferred. Travel Requirements
