Position Summary The Maintenance Engineer I responds to and completes all general maintenance requests for room calls, public areas, meeting rooms, back of house, physical plant, and exterior areas of the property. This position reports to the Director of Engineering.
The pay range for this position is $26.00 to $30.00 per hour; actual pay will be dependent on budget and experience.

Essential Job Functions / Key Job Responsibilities
Respond to and complete all general maintenance requests as needed including all areas inside and outside of the hotel and related properties
Tape, spackle, and paint walls
Promptly and courteously respond to guest room calls
Ensure work orders are tracked, completed, and prioritized
Help plan and coordinate projects during the off season
Perform safety inspections
Ensure all compliance standards are met including OSHA and GHS
Identify process improvements and best practices
Report all safety hazards and suspicious persons or activities to management
Monitor and maintain fire detection system and assist with emergency evacuations
Complete work order assignments in a timely manner
Interact with guests on a daily basis
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications Education & Experience Requirements High School Diploma or equivalent
2 years’ experience in mechanical fields such as HVAC, electrical and/or plumbing
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Knowledge of electrical, plumbing, painting, mechanical repairs, and carpentry
Knowledge of company's safety procedures and protocols
Basic industry terminology
Ability to work some weekends and holidays
Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively
Completes tasks and goals efficiently and effectively
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Proficiency in communicating clearly both verbally and in writing
Ability to do basic problem-solving
Work Environment & Physical Demands
Ability to reach, crouch, kneel, stand or be on your feet, kneel and bend for extended periods
Regularly work in adverse conditions and may need to use protective equipment
Must be able to frequently lift, push or pull up to 50 lbs
