Position Summary:
The Production supervisor position is responsible for day-to-day supervision and leadership of production employees and operations. This position plans and assigns work, implements policies and procedures and recommends improvements in production methods, equipment, operating procedures and working conditions. What you’ll do
Manage the daily operations of the processing area. Cleaning, preparation and packaging of fruits and vegetables according to the proper specifications. Maintain food safety standards and quality guidelines. Facilitate all areas of people/document management such as training, corrective actions, attendance, HACCP/SQF documentation and other plant policies. Ensure sanitation standards are met as it pertains to the daily operations of the processing area. Develop hourly employees by providing leadership, direction, and support to assure completion of the production schedule while maintaining adherence to safety, quality, and cost considerations. Responsible for shift start up and shutdown. Ensure efficient scheduling and production of all orders. Maintain excellent communication with all levels of the organization to ensure the order-fill process. About you
High School Diploma or GED required. 3+ years of work experience in production operations required. 1+ years of supervisory experience required. Bilingual English/Spanish required. Working knowledge of GFSI compliant food safety standards, preferably SQF. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
