Insight Global is seeking a TS/SCI Field Service Engineer to support an exciting mission for a large defense customer. This person will undergo 6 months of training in San Diego, CA and then spend at least 1 year working at an OCONUS site providing hands-on technical support.
This person will be a part of the team responsible for the deployment, operations, and maintenance of mission-critical communication systems. The ideal candidate should have experience installing, maintaining, upgrading, and troubleshooting ground segment systems, be solutions-oriented, and have experience learning standard operating procedures of a new system.
Responsibilities and Requirements
This role must be comfortable working in an OCONUS location.
Training for the role will take place in San Diego, CA for the first 6 months, then work overseas. Desired Qualifications: Active TS/SCI clearance Ability and interest in living/working OCONUS Bachelor's degree (or additional 4 years of experience) Active Security+ (or able to obtain before completion of the 6-month training program) Experience working in Linux and/or Windows environments to perform system administration duties Experience with hands-on troubleshooting and repair of systems in the field Nice to Haves: Experience working with Air Vehicle Operations and Ground station systems DoD 8570 Certification in Windows, Linux, or Cisco Virtualization and VMWare experience Experience managing servers and Windows domain architecture Experience working off of maintenance instructions and maintenance sign-off processes The work environment is dynamic, fast-paced, and will involve communication with the customer and other military personnel.
