Senior Manufacturing Engineering Manager – Griffin, GA Senior Manager of Manufacturing Engineering for Caterpillar's Large Power Systems Division in Griffin, GA will be responsible for leading process improvements that deliver world class quality and efficiency, producing Engines, Gensets and Power Modules. Responsibilities
Managing the planning, documentation, implementation, support and maintenance of manufacturing processes, procedures, machinery and tooling to improve efficiency, cost effectiveness, quality and safety. Researching process performance data to identify and implement process changes that improve yield, runtime, quality, safety and cost-effectiveness. Managing the activities and resources for manufacturing engineers, process design and support personnel. Providing ongoing support for manufacturing problems and deficiencies; troubleshoots technically challenging production problems. Qualifications
Degree Requirement: Technical/Engineering Degree Or Equivalent Experience Required. Operational Functions: Extensive knowledge of major functional processes and operating requirements; ability to apply this knowledge to diverse situations. Organizational Leadership: Knowledge of leadership concepts and ability to enlist others in achieving objectives. Quality Management: Extensive knowledge of quality management methods, tools, and techniques; ability to create an environment that meets quality goals. Influencing Through Expertise: Ability to deepen own expertise and influence decisions within and outside own organization. Continuous Transformation: Ability to adapt and seek changes to improve competitive advantage. Collaborating: Ability to work with a variety of individuals and groups in a constructive and collaborative manner. Manufacturing Safety: Knowledge of manufacturing safety; ability to meet regulatory requirements for safety and protection of workers, environment, and site. Manufacturing Standards, Procedures and Policies: Knowledge of standards, procedures, and policies in manufacturing; ability to monitor processes for compliance. Capacity Planning & Management - MFG: Knowledge of tools and practices for determining production demand and resource management. Project Management: Ability to plan, organize, monitor, and control projects to achieve objectives. Top candidates will have demonstrated experience leading or implementing manufacturing process changes that improve efficiency through automation or other process improvements; experience as a leader of leaders; experience at a product-producing facility.
