This position is responsible for building strong business understanding and relationships to enable the delivery of technology solutions that deliver the intended business value in the spirit of the Agile Scrum Methodology. The Technical Product Engineer’s primary responsibilities are to prioritize features according to business value, as well as the user stories into an ordered backlog. They will also participate in Sprint ceremonies like Inception, Future State, Alignment, Sprint Planning, Retrospectives, User Story Writing and Refinement. It is important that they also establish and maintain effective partnerships with the Business and IT product teams. We are looking for someone with strong analytical and organizational skills to transform data into insights, distill requirements, and develop processes. They will also be able to define clear, easy-to-digest metrics that resonate with the business. While a deep knowledge in airline products and applications is not necessary, previous experience will be a plus. The candidate should have excellent communication skills, business maturity, and feel comfortable in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities

Strategy & Planning (30%): Understands the end user deeply and uses that knowledge to determine the fastest path to deliver value Translates business goals and end user needs into product strategy; communicates direction and product priorities to the development team, other matrixed teams, and third-party partners; identifies goals, metrics and analytics to determine product value; continually makes recommendations and refinements to the product backlog based on learnings Manages the product backlog; makes future decisions based on the value that will be delivered; conducts sophisticated and detailed research of existing processes, systems, and desired objectives to meet the goals/intent of the assigned products Partners with application teams to understand technical needs and assist in the creation of business plans for new initiatives Monitors research as well as the competitive landscape to recommend the best solutions and ensure that products remain or become best in class Ensures that product directions balance both the user needs and business goals of driving sales, improving efficiency and enhancing customer satisfaction Delivery & Execution (40%): Formulates, tests and refines assumptions and hypotheses through user research and testing Documents, reviews and ensures that all quality and change control standards are met Creates, prioritizes and accepts user stories; incorporate them into release planning Makes product decisions that drive value on a daily basis Elicits and creates initial epics/features and elaborates into user scenarios that clearly describe the functional and non-functional requirements; delivers business requirements via artifacts such as epics, features, scenarios, acceptance criteria, process flows, wireframes, mockups, demos Performs testing, tracks bugs and enhancements, and ensures issues are resolved before promoting to production environments Able to work on multiple initiatives and balance evolving priorities Participates in standups, iteration planning sessions, product demos, and retrospectives Converts complex technical concepts into non-technical language for stakeholders People (30%): Fosters collaboration with team members to drive value and resolve obstacles; collaborates with business unit leaders to maintain internal customer relationships Advocates for modern software development practices Aligns with the end user and stakeholders by becoming associated with the product and understanding user needs Works with the product team to assess progress, disseminate lessons learned, and plan next steps Partners with Product Manager and SMEs to prioritize feature development based on business value Manages cross-functional team and stakeholder expectations to execute on product strategy and provide education to requestors for prioritization What You Need To Succeed (Minimum Qualifications)

Bachelor\'s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related business field 6-8 years of hands-on experience as a Product Manager in a modern software development environment Solid understanding of agile methodologies and how to apply appropriate agile approaches in software development and delivery Experience designing, building, and developing a new product, technology, or service from feasibility through production Ability to work in a fast-paced, fluid environment with shifting priorities Proficiency in communicating with and influencing both functional and technical teams at all levels Proficiency in creating, prioritizing and accepting user stories; proficiency in conducting user research and testing Proficiency in identifying goals, metrics and analytics to measure product value; proficiency in competitive research and analysis Strong written, oral communication and interpersonal skills Excellent planning and organizational skills Safety and data security awareness Embraces diverse people, thinking, and styles What Will Give You a Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications)
