Senior HR Associate, Chicago, IL (Hybrid)

An outstanding Financial Services firm is looking for a Senior HR Associate who’s ready to dive in and make an impact. In this role, you’ll be at the heart of the firm’s people operations, leading full-cycle recruiting, driving key HR initiatives, and partnering directly with senior leaders and portfolio companies. If you thrive in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment and want to grow across the full spectrum of HR, this is your chance to join a collaborative team that’s “all in it together” and passionate about building something exceptional! Responsibilities Manage full-cycle recruitment for operations, finance, and compliance roles, from sourcing through offer acceptance. Support and track C-suite hiring for portfolio companies, including pipeline building, database management, and preparation of quarterly reports. Partner confidently with senior leaders, partners, and operating partners throughout the recruitment process. Oversee onboarding and offboarding processes, including temporary coverage during a maternity leave period. Lead the implementation of a new HRIS system, keeping the HR team aligned with deadlines and deliverables (no prior system implementation experience required). Provide support to leadership with scheduling needs and coordination. Manage SEO sponsorship relationships and coordinate volunteer opportunities with the investment team. Maintain employee records and ensure compliance with labor laws, regulations, and company policies. Support annual HR processes, including benefits enrollment, performance reviews, and policy updates. Assist employees and managers with HR-related inquiries, policies, and best practices to promote a positive employee experience. Contribute to employee engagement, learning and development initiatives, and other HR projects as the role evolves. Ideal Experience 4–7 years of HR experience, ideally at the senior associate level. Experience in smaller firms or professional services strongly preferred. Background across recruiting, scheduling, and HR generalist responsibilities required; agency recruiting experience acceptable if adaptable to an in-house environment. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with confidence in engaging senior stakeholders. Ability to thrive in a fast-changing environment with shifting priorities every six months. Highly proactive, organized, and team-oriented mindset. Ability to manage urgent, time-sensitive matters and support multiple time zones globally. Outgoing personality with strong relationship-building skills. Up to $140,000 salary per year (based on experience)
