Systems Service Engineering Manager role at Boeing. Location: Seal Beach, California. This is a leadership position focused on delivering in-service technical support for Boeing Commercial Airplane models, with responsibility for Mechanical Systems or Avionics/Electrical Systems, and for leading a team in a fast-paced environment. Position Responsibilities

Leads execution of Engineering activities to ensure first-time quality and on-time performance. Responsible for execution of service engineering and solutions by suppliers and other Boeing organizations, including Boeing Global Teams. Develops and executes project and process plans, implements policies and procedures and sets operational goals. Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products, and processes related to in-service issues for Boeing Commercial Airplane owners/operators. Acquires resources for department activities, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements. Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports. Manages, develops and motivates employees by modeling Boeing Values. Coaches, counsels, mentors and provides developmental opportunities and job assignments to enhance employee performance and expand capabilities. Inspires employees by championing forward-thinking and innovative solutions. Proactively communicates with employees, peers, and customers. Keeps others informed by communicating project status, conducting and participating in team meetings, providing presentations and listening to employee concerns and suggestions. Communicates policies and directives to enhance employee awareness of expectations. Systematically evaluates proper job classification of employees, sets employee priorities, manages and evaluates performance to plan on a recurring basis. Requirements and Work Location

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work on-site in Seal Beach, CA. Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience)

Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited program in engineering, engineering technology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science 5+ years of engineering experience on commercial airplane programs or providing technical support to airplane owners/operators 2+ years of experience leading engineering teams 3+ years of experience working with internal or external stakeholders (e.g., business partners, airline customers, finance, external suppliers) Experience leading cross-functional teams and managing complex projects from conception to completion Ability to travel 10% of the time Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience)

Export Control Requirements: This position must meet export control compliance requirements. A “U.S. Person” is required. US based job, US Person required. Visa sponsorship not offered. Relocation offered based on eligibility. Shift: 1st shift. Drug Free Workplace: Boeing is a Drug Free Workplace and conducts post-offer and ongoing testing as required.
