Construction and Project Manager

supports the planning, design, and execution of federal deferred maintenance, recapitalization, and major repair projects. Typical projects range from $250K to $5M and may include higher-value, high-profile efforts. The Construction and Project Manager will coordinate with stakeholders, develop and oversee project scopes, budgets, and schedules, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and federal standards. This role provides both onsite and virtual support, with occasional travel to project locations. Responsibilities

Coordinate with stakeholders to develop project scopes, budgets, and schedules for federal deferred maintenance, recapitalization, and major repair projects. Lead construction projects from planning through execution, including budgeting, scheduling, and stakeholder coordination. Validate proposed repairs, troubleshoot systems, and project equipment/service life. Maintain documentation, manage risk, and coordinate changes. Prepare reports and brief senior stakeholders; communicate effectively across teams. Required Experience & Skills

Minimum of 10 years of experience developing, managing, and overseeing construction or facilities projects. At least 1 year of experience supporting federal project and/or program development, specifically related to planning and design for facility construction projects. Proven ability to lead construction projects from planning through execution, including budgeting, scheduling, and stakeholder coordination. Experience validating proposed repairs, troubleshooting systems, and projecting equipment/service life. Strong skills in documentation management, risk management, and change coordination. Excellent communication skills, including briefing senior stakeholders and preparing reports. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Project). Experience & Skills

Prior Federal project experience. Experience with deferred maintenance and repair (DMR) programs. Familiarity with quality assurance and construction compliance processes. Demonstrated ability to manage geographically dispersed teams or multiple concurrent projects. Required Education

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or related field. Education

Professional Engineer (PE) or Registered Architect (RA) license. Certified Construction Manager (CMAA) credential. Advanced degree in engineering, architecture, or project management.
