5–10 years of matrimonial/family law experience
to join our expanding Matrimonial Department. Successful Candidate:
The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with a strong work ethic and organizational skills. Strong oral and written communication skills are essential, as well as the ability to interact effectively with clients, court staff, adversaries, and witnesses. A genuine team player, the candidate should thrive in a supportive, collaborative environment. Responsibilities include: Drafting pleadings, motions, depositions, and briefs. Appearing in New York courts (no out-of-state appearances required). Managing cases through all stages of litigation. Developing and executing cost-effective litigation strategies. Organizing and tracking case status, managing calendars, and handling client matters. Zealously representing clients in divorce, custody, child support, and related matters in Supreme Court, Family Court, and concurrent proceedings. Knowledge of New York Supreme Court and Family Court procedures is required. Relevant experience may also include work in a family/divorce law clinic, or an internship/clerkship with Judges in the field. What you will need to have:
Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school Admission to the New York State Bar (required) Excellent legal writing and advocacy skills Strong organizational and multitasking abilities Ability to prioritize effectively and work under pressure A collaborative, client-focused mindset Proficiency in MS Office and Outlook This position is based out of White Plains
