SUMMARY:
Compute, classify, and record numerical data to maintain complete financial records. Perform routine calculating, posting, and verifying duties to provide primary financial data for accounting purposes. Check the accuracy of figures, calculations, and postings related to business transactions recorded by others. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Review open accounts for collection efforts and follow up via phone or email on overdue balances. Make outbound collection calls professionally while maintaining and improving customer relations. Distribute customer invoices daily and maintain 3rd party and customer billing portals. Resolve account discrepancies by investigating, documenting, and recommending adjustments. Identify issues contributing to account delinquency and discuss them with management. Maintain documentation of customer collection correspondence. Create and maintain customer master records. Collaborate cross-functionally to resolve internal and external customer concerns promptly. Assist in month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes. Support accounting department projects as needed. Research and process credit memo requests. Perform other duties as assigned. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: 3-4 years of accounts payable or general accounting experience. High school diploma or equivalent. Strong communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills. Ability to work independently and adapt to a fast-changing environment. Attention to detail and deadline-oriented. PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS: Experience in the aviation industry is a plus.
