Our client is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented

Senior Accounting Specialist

to join their finance team. This role plays a key part in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting payroll and contributing to process improvements across the organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in general ledger accounting, cash management, and cross-functional collaboration. Key Responsibilities

Collaborate with the finance team to ensure timely and accurate completion of accounting deliverables, contributing to the preparation of financial statements. Manage and record daily banking activities, including wire transfers, ACH payments, and incoming deposits. Provide support for payroll operations, including coordination with an external payroll provider for a small-scale payroll process. Participate in special projects and initiatives such as: Developing and maintaining desktop procedures Cross-training and backup support for team functions Conducting account analysis and resolving discrepancies Engaging in process improvement and cross-departmental efforts Additional Duties

Prepare journal entries and manage capital expenditure transactions. Perform monthly account reconciliations and monitor for process exceptions. Handle intercompany transactions and reconcile related accounts with subsidiary entities. Assist with the annual audit by preparing documentation and responding to auditor requests. Reconcile cash accounts across multiple business units. Support quarterly payroll tax filings and submit IRS Form 1096s as required. Provide administrative assistance for employee benefit programs, including health insurance and 401(k) plans. Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance. 5–7 years of progressive experience in accounting roles. Strong understanding of general ledger systems and account reconciliation processes. Familiarity with payroll processing, cash applications, intercompany accounting, and benefits administration. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel. Experience with

Infor SyteLine

is a strong plus. Ability to manage multiple priorities with precision and organization. Strong communication skills with a proactive approach to internal and external customer service. Flexibility to adapt to shifting deadlines and business needs.
