We provide the Medallion Class experience and strive to deliver memorable experiences for our guests. We are looking for a Senior Staff Accountant to join our Doral office. The Senior Staff Accountant participates in month-end close, financial reporting, and SOX or internal control processes related to ship operating expenses. Responsibilities include journal entries, monthly balance sheet reconciliations, financial analysis, and system/process testing. The Senior Staff Accountant works closely with accounting/finance colleagues and ship operation teams to ensure accurate financials. The ideal candidate will have strong accounting, analytical, Excel and software skills, plus prioritization and communication abilities. Participate and support the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process for Princess Cruises. Ensure proper reporting according to GAAP, IFRS, and Carnival Corp & PCL accounting policies. Prepare and submit timely and accurate reconciliations of balance sheet accounts. Participate and support in the required department SOX testing, control certification and processes, including providing necessary support to internal and external auditors according to established departmental timelines. Continuously work to improve efficiency and effectiveness of related business processes. Continuously work to understand and address inherent compliance/control risks. Provide meaningful information and analysis on ad-hoc inquiries to meet departmental objectives of financial analysis support. Perform various accounting functions related to fuel, freight, port operations, insurance, entertainment, IT, and R&M. Perform routine problem solving to complete tasks. Ensure financials are accurate, complete, and timely to align with standard public accounting requirements and SOX compliance. Does not manage direct reports but may assist with training others on recurring accounting tasks and coordinates with others to meet deadlines. Requirements
5 years of accounting/finance experience in progressive roles; CPA license preferred. Extensive experience in roles requiring strong analytical, software, prioritization, and communication skills. Hybrid role with three in-office days per week (Tuesday – Thursday). What You Can Expect
