a Systems Engineer/Principal Systems Engineer

to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. The qualified applicant will support a growing portfolio of programs and IRADs that focus on missile defense, space, and intelligence and will support various modeling, simulation, and analysis (MS&A) project teams performing systems engineering across the entire “systems engineering vee”. This position is located on-site in Colorado Springs, CO. No relocation assistance is available for this position. No remote option. Domestic travel (up to 10%) may be required, dependent on program needs. This position will specifically focus on the development of systems engineering artifacts supporting multiple programs across the portfolio in various stages of the system development life cycle. Basic Qualifications (Systems Engineer)

Bachelor of Science in a STEM field and 2 years of related experience OR Master of Science in a STEM field and 0 years of related experience

Active DoD Secret Clearance

Experience working along the left side of the “Systems Engineering Vee”

Experience developing Systems Engineering models using the Systems Modeling Language (SysML)

Comfortable communicating technical information to technical and non-technical customers

Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively in a team setting

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Basic Qualifications (Principal Systems Engineer)

Bachelor of Science in a STEM field and 5 years of related experience OR Master of Science in a STEM field and 3 years of related experience

Active DoD Secret Clearance

Experience working along the left side of the “Systems Engineering Vee”

Experience developing Systems Engineering models using the Systems Modeling Language (SysML)

Comfortable communicating technical information to technical and non-technical customers

Experience mentoring and developing junior-level engineers

Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively in a team setting

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

Active DoD Top Secret Clearance

Master’s Degree in Systems Engineering

Experience using the Advanced Framework for Simulation, Integration, and Modeling (AFSIM)

Experience using agile development methodologies

Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) Graduate Certificate

INCOSE ASEP (or above) certification

Object Modeling Group (OMG) Certified Systems Modeling Professional (OCSMP) Model Builder Fundamental Certification
