Active Secret or higher (TS/SCI with polygraph preferred) Compensation Range:
$62,000 – $225,000 (commensurate with experience and clearance level). You will work across the full lifecycle—from production-grade software development to deploying and supporting complex systems in the field—while directly impacting national security, advanced AI initiatives, and cutting-edge technology adoption. These roles blend technical depth, problem-solving, and client engagement, offering engineers the rare opportunity to influence both code and mission outcomes. Key Responsibilities Build and maintain secure APIs, microservices, and front-end applications using React.js, Angular, TypeScript, and modern frameworks. Architect and implement scalable systems integrating LLMs, multi-modal models, and agentic AI frameworks (LangChain, LangGraph, LlamaIndex, CrewAI). Develop data-driven solutions, including RAG systems, vector database integrations (Pinecone, Weaviate, ChromaDB), and AI-native pipelines. Support end-to-end software deployments in containerized environments (Docker, Podman, Kubernetes, OpenShift) and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, AWS GovCloud). Apply DevSecOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, version control, and infrastructure-as-code principles to ensure robust, scalable software. Collaborate with cross-functional teams—mission engineers, data scientists, ML engineers, analysts, and product owners—to deliver innovative solutions. Serve in field-facing or post-sales deployment roles, translating complex technical solutions into actionable outcomes for clients. Mentor junior engineers, share best practices, and contribute to technical community knowledge. Continuously evaluate emerging AI/ML techniques, secure software methods, and system architectures to drive innovation. Required Skills & Qualifications Active TS/SCI security clearance (required). Polygraph preferred. 4–5+ years of professional software engineering experience, including production-grade applications, APIs, and secure systems. Hands-on experience with AI/ML integration, LLMs, multi-modal models, or agentic AI frameworks. Knowledge of containerization, cloud deployment, and CI/CD pipelines (Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift, GitLab CI, Jenkins). Strong foundation in secure coding, federal cybersecurity standards, and software compliance practices. Ability to troubleshoot, optimize, and maintain software under dynamic, real-time operational conditions. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration with technical and non-technical stakeholders. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent experience. Preferred Qualifications Master’s degree in Computer Science, AI, ML, or related field. Experience with production-level AI deployments, agentic AI products, or field-based software delivery. Exposure to RAG systems, vector databases, or LLM integration with operational systems. Knowledge of DevSecOps tooling, infrastructure-as-code, or cloud automation frameworks. Prior experience with government, defense, or intelligence clients. Demonstrated ability to mentor junior engineers and contribute to team growth. Experience with secure geospatial intelligence systems, real-time operational applications, or multi-modal AI workflows.
