Senior Lead Mobility Engineer
to provide technical leadership on major Wireless initiatives and establish goals and plans that meet program/project objectives in support of the United States Capitol Police (USCP) in Washington, D.C. As the Senior Lead Mobility Engineer, you will serve as a technical leader within the OIS, guiding the planning, implementation, and maintenance of enterprise server and data center infrastructure that supports the USCP’s mission. This role ensures high availability, security, scalability, and resiliency of critical IT systems supporting law enforcement operations, continuity of government, and Congressional security. A typical day for the Senior Lead Mobility Engineer includes: Planning and leading major mobile technology initiatives, evaluating performance results, and recommending adjustments to support short-term project growth and long-term success. Serving as a technical expert across multiple projects, providing guidance on complex mobile systems and infrastructure. Developing a deep understanding of the customer’s organization, goals, business needs, and enterprise mobile architectures. Establishing and enforcing system development and integration methodologies and standards, including ELCM. Designing and implementing mobile system architectures that adhere to Enterprise Mobile Architecture principles, ensuring solutions align with strategic goals and investment priorities. Applying best practices in the design, development, integration, and deployment of mobile systems. Utilizing business process improvement methods to optimize workflows and operational efficiency. Implementing advanced mobile technologies using leading-edge approaches and concepts. Researching, evaluating, and selecting appropriate mobile solutions to ensure effective resource utilization and performance optimization. Supervising the Mobility Engineering Team. Working onsite in downtown Washington, DC three (3) days per week. Qualifications for this role include: Authorization to work in the U.S. permanently without sponsorship. A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Business, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience). 5–8 years of progressive experience in mobile systems, wireless technologies, or a related IT field as an individual contributor. Foundational IT certification, such as CompTIA A+, Security+, or Network+. Advanced, role-specific certification in their functional area, such as VMware Certified Specialist – Workspace ONE 21.X Advanced Integration.
