Project Engineer - Therma

Therma, a Legence company, has an immediate need for a Project Engineer in San Jose, CA. This position is responsible for assisting the Project Manager and project management with overall planning, scheduling, resource allocation, and project accounting. Previous experience working in the Construction industry is highly desired. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Project Planning, Cost Management, Time Management, Quality Management, Contract Administration, and Safety Management. Maintain strong relationships with GC’s and Owners. Gather best pricing and on-time delivery of materials from vendors. Manage schedule, billings, submittals, RFI’s, change orders, and select and monitor subs. COR/CO Management, Schedule Updates, and Meeting preparation and participation. Project Reporting Management and administrative support activities. Assist with project documentation, estimating, and issue tracking. Prepare project closeout documents and internal work documents. Order and track materials, establish relationships with vendors, and negotiate prices. Qualifications: Experience working for an HVAC or Plumbing Mechanical Contractor on large commercial projects preferred. Construction industry experience required. Mechanical Engineering degree or related construction degree desired. Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office and excellent communication skills.
