City and County of San Francisco The Bureau of Infrastructure & Development Permitting (IDP) leads the coordination, permitting, delivery, and acceptance of public infrastructure for major development projects across San Francisco. Job Description : We’re looking for a Project Manager who can help make building in our city easier, faster, and better. In this role, you'll be the driving force behind collaboration and efficiency—bringing people together, streamlining slow or ineffective processes, and ensuring complex projects stay on track and move forward smoothly. Responsibilities include: Serve as lead technical advisor in developing strategies to advance key operational and strategic objectives. Analyze bureau and interagency development projects and permitting workflows. Manage cross-departmental initiatives to align standards, streamline processes, and coordinate reviews with City and other governmental agencies. Lead citywide interagency housing coordination and permit tracking meetings. Develop and implement tools to improve transparency, accountability, and program reporting. Qualifications : Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in architecture, engineering, or planning plus six years of responsible experience, or equivalent combinations of education and experience. Desirable Qualifications : Experience leading or coordinating projects with multiple funding sources, responding to complaints or concerns from members of the public, and cross-departmental collaboration and public reporting.
