Directions Credit Union is searching for a dynamic, visionary Chief Information Officer (CIO) to lead our technology strategy and help us build stronger communities. If you’re passionate about innovation, operational excellence, and making a real impact, we want to meet you.
What You’ll Do
Set the Vision: Lead all IT, network, security, and data functions. Shape our technology roadmap and ensure it aligns with our mission to empower financial wellness and member success.
Champion Innovation: Modernize our tech stack, drive digital transformation, and bring fresh ideas to the table. Evaluate and implement emerging technologies to keep us ahead of the curve.
Guard Our Data: Oversee cybersecurity, data governance, and IT compliance—protecting our members’ trust and ensuring regulatory alignment.
Inspire Teams: Build, mentor, and energize a high-performing IT and Data teams. Foster a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, and professional growth.
Deliver Results: Manage vendor relationships, contracts, and strategic partnerships.
Be a Change Maker: Serve as a key member of the senior leadership team, influencing organizational strategy and communicating your vision to staff, leadership, and the Board of Directors.
Maximize Value: Ensure our investment in systems and technology delivers maximum value to the organization and our members.

What You Bring
Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, IT Management, or related field.
10–15 years of progressive senior IT leadership, network/security, and data management experience (financial industry experience preferred).
Certifications such as ITIL, COBIT, CISM, or PMP are a plus.
Proven ability in strategic planning, technology development, and implementation.
Strong leadership, communication, and business acumen.
A passion for innovation, ethical leadership, and community impact.
