Position Summary

The Customer Service Representative (CSR) is responsible for delivering excellent service to DXP's customers by processing orders, responding to inquiries, and supporting the outside sales team. The CSR plays a key role in maintaining customer satisfaction and ensuring timely, accurate order fulfillment.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Handle incoming customer inquiries via phone, email, and in-person. Enter, process, and follow up on sales orders and quotes. Provide product pricing, availability, and lead times. Coordinate with vendors, warehouses, and other departments to meet customer requirements. Expedite orders and resolve service issues or discrepancies promptly. Maintain strong customer relationships by providing professional and proactive communication. Assist the outside sales team with quotes, proposals, and order status updates. Support shipping/receiving or inventory control as needed to ensure seamless customer service. Perform data entry and maintain accurate records in DXP's ERP system. Follow all company policies and safety guidelines. Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required; associate or bachelor's degree preferred. 1-3+ years of customer service, inside sales, or order entry experience (industrial distribution or MRO preferred). Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and ERP/order entry systems. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to multi-task and thrive in a fast-paced environment. Positive, professional demeanor with a focus on teamwork and problem solving. Physical Demands & Work Environment

Office environment with frequent phone/computer use. Occasional interaction with warehouse operations and vendors. Full-time position, Monday-Friday; overtime as needed. Compensation & Benefits
