Building on VMware's world-class performance legacy, the Performance Analytics team is at the forefront of developing a revolutionary platform designed for proactive and predictive performance management at an unprecedented scale. Key Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and implement advanced performance monitoring, diagnostics, and analytics solutions for VMware Cloud Foundation. Utilize machine learning and artificial intelligence to create predictive models and automate performance issue detection and resolution. Contribute to the architecture and evolution of a scalable and resilient performance analytics platform. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate performance insights into the broader VCF product suite. Troubleshoot and resolve complex performance issues across distributed systems. Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and contribute to technical documentation. Mentor junior engineers and foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement. Requirements:

A Masters or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field. 5+ years of relevant industry experience in software development, performance engineering, or data analytics. Deep understanding of Kubernetes architecture and its implementation in large-scale environments. Extensive work experience in production software development, including rigorous testing and performance engineering methodologies. Demonstrated capability to architect and understand complex software solutions across distributed systems. Significant experience working on and contributing to large-scale distributed systems. Solid understanding of CPU, memory, network, and storage hardware and software subsystems and their impact on system performance. Proven exposure to data analytics, machine learning, and statistical analyses, with the ability to apply these techniques to real-world problems. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail and a methodical approach to complex challenges. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, enabling effective collaboration with technical and non-technical stakeholders. Compensation and Benefits The annual base salary range for this position is $120,000 - $192,000. This position is also eligible for a discretionary annual bonus and equity.
