Mechanical Systems Design Engineer III – New Shepard
Join Blue Origin as a Mechanical Systems Design Engineer III for the New Shepard program, a reusable suborbital rocket system. We envision millions of people living and working in space for the benefit of Earth. We are working to develop reusable, safe, and low-cost space vehicles and systems within a culture of safety, collaboration, and inclusion. As part of a hardworking team of engineers, you will provide expertise for flight control and mechanical systems of the New Shepard reusable launch vehicle. Your responsibilities will include participating in the entire design cycle, defining component groups, identifying and implementing design changes, and technically assisting other specialists and team members. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering 5+ years of hydraulic systems design experience Experience in 3D CAD programs Proficiency in analysis including hand calculations and Finite Element Analysis Strong written and verbal communication skills Preferred Qualifications: Proficiency with Creo, Windchill, and Ansys Familiarity with typical aerospace hydraulic standards and best practices Use of common aerospace structural materials and surface treatments Hands-on experience with machining, building, testing, and maintaining hydraulic components and systems Compensation Range:
