$150,000.00/yr - $180,000.00/yr Our client, a well-established Westchester-based law firm founded in 1980, employs around 40 attorneys across offices in White Plains, Fishkill, Long Island, and Manhattan, offering comprehensive services in trusts & estates, business law, real estate, and litigation. With a focus on high-end estate planning and administration for clients in the $50–110 million range, the firm provides a supportive, suburban environment in affluent Westchester County, emphasizing long-term employee retention and community involvement, as evidenced by attorneys with 20–40 years of tenure. Why This Role? Sophisticated Estate Work : Handle high-end trusts and estates matters, including planning for estates worth hundreds of millions, probate, guardianships, tax audits, and litigation for diverse clients. Fast-Track Partnership : Pursue partnership in your 30s, with several partners transitioning from associates, based on performance and business generation. Competitive Compensation : Earn up to $180,000 (3–6 years’ experience), 25% above the national average, with bonuses tied to 1,600 billable hours and a comprehensive package including 401(k) match up to 4%, subsidized medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, PTO, and paid parental leave. Mentorship & Development : Receive direct mentoring from partners, with biweekly Q&A sessions and investments in your success to build a strong foundation. Key Responsibilities Draft estate planning documents, including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and health care proxies, tailoring to clients' wealth transfer goals. Manage estate administration and probate proceedings, ensuring efficient resolution in Surrogate's Court for multi-million-dollar estates. Advise clients on tax strategies, preparing estate tax returns and handling audits to minimize liabilities. Litigate trusts and estates disputes, representing clients in guardianship and contested probate matters. Conduct client consultations to develop personalized plans, focusing on elder law and special needs planning. Build practice through firm-supported networking, targeting growth in Westchester's affluent community.
