Senior Project Manager
Location:
Houston | Hybrid in-office schedule
The Role The Senior Project Manager will lead the planning, execution, and completion of large-scale energy infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing the execution of projects in power generation, gas processing, or refining/chemical industries, with a proven track record of managing complex projects from inception to completion. This role requires exceptional leadership, coordination, and technical expertise to ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
Project Planning & Execution:
Develop and manage comprehensive project plans, including schedules, budgets, and execution strategies.
Team Leadership:
Lead cross-functional teams comprising engineers, construction supervisors, contractors, suppliers, and consultants.
Stakeholder Management:
Maintain effective communication with clients, regulatory bodies, and internal stakeholders to ensure project alignment and transparency.
Contract Management:
Oversee contract negotiations, manage risks, and ensure compliance with contractual obligations between the company, vendor OEMs, and EPC contractors.
Regulatory Compliance:
Ensure all projects comply with local, state, and federal regulations, including environmental and safety standards.
Financial Oversight:
Monitor project budgets, control costs, and ensure financial objectives are achieved.
Preferred Background
10-15+ years of progressive project management experience, with a focus on capital-intensive EPC projects ranging from $50M to $750M in total owner's scope. Prior owner’s side project management experience preferred
Prior experience managing EPC-wrapped contracts in industrial sectors (e.g., oil & gas, downstream, chemicals, specialty manufacturing). Experience in medium-voltage electrical infrastructure is a strong plus
Technical Background: Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering. PMP certification preferred
Project Exposure: Projects that included significant medium voltage systems and OEM packaged equipment and complex utility or process integration
Leadership Qualities: High-energy, solutions-driven professional with a proactive mindset. strong track record of EPC project execution
Software Proficiency: Familiar with project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, Procore, etc.).
