About Our Client Our client for the Vice President of Operations opportunity is a middle market private equity backed industry leading manufacturer. This organization manufactures complex engineered products for over 10,000 customers including but not limited to automotive, aerospace, defense, medical, diversified industrial and more.

The Vice President of Operations will report to the CEO and lead all engineering and operations for the organization driving operational excellence and efficiency, quality, innovation, and support the growing organization ensuring customer satisfaction. The VP of Operations must be a versatile individual connecting with individuals on the shop floor as well as the CEO and Private Equity firm. This group is looking to do additional bolt on acquisitions resulting in fast-paced growth. The VP of Operations must be able to drive the current state, while also building the future state of the organization.

Job Description

Lead and drive all operations and engineering departments to align with the company\'s strategic objectives.

Provide leadership and support to the Operations Leader and other direct reports, focusing on optimizing manufacturing performance, improving supply chain processes, and boosting revenue growth.

Supervise the Engineering Leader and engineering team, encouraging innovation, process enhancements, and development of new products.

Work closely with executive leadership to design and execute company-wide strategies and initiatives

Define, track, and analyze key performance metrics (KPIs) for both operations and engineering to drive accountability and ongoing improvements.

Identify and implement opportunities for automation, increased productivity, and cost reduction within production and engineering activities.

Ensure compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, and relevant industry requirements.

Act as a strategic advisor to the CEO and key stakeholders by offering insights, recommendations, and leadership on major projects and capital expenditures.

Be a leader and champion of change management initiatives during periods of organizational growth, integration, or transformation

Foster a workplace culture that emphasizes collaboration, integrity, innovation, and customer focus

Develop and implement a three-year plan in line with the company objectives and to promote revenue, profitability, and growth as an

Lead the integration of operations of the acquired companies

Provide strong leadership and mentorship to team and direct reports, including future hiring and building and development of the team

The Successful Applicant

Bachelor\'s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations or related

MBA or Master\'s degree preferred

15-20 plus years of experience in engineering, operations, and manufacturing

7-10 years of Sr. leadership experience in operations and manufacturing

Proven experience driving CI - Continuous Improvement, lean, standardization, EHS, quality, six sigma, Kaizen

Strong financial acumen managing operational budgets and capital expenditures and projects

Experience with machining, turning, milling, or related highly preferred

Exceptional presentation, written, and verbal communication skills

High energy, teamwork, and passion for development team members

High sense of urgency and able to manage multiple initiatives at a given time

Ability to influence and work cross functionally with multi groups and leaders

What’s on Offer Competitive base salary $245,000 - $285,000, bonus, vacation, full benefits, 401K, holidays, relocation and/or commuting assistance provided.
