Responsibilities
Production Scheduling Develop, implement, and maintain production schedules to ensure efficient utilization of resources and on-time delivery of customer orders. Adjust and optimize schedules in response to demand changes, supply disruptions, or capacity constraints. Cross-Department Coordination Collaborate with procurement, supply chain, manufacturing, quality, and logistics teams to ensure smooth operations. Communicate schedule updates, priorities, and potential risks to stakeholders. Process Monitoring & Efficiency Monitor production processes to identify bottlenecks and implement corrective actions. Analyze production workflows and recommend improvements to increase throughput, reduce downtime, and enhance resource utilization. Inventory & Materials Management Manage inventory levels of raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods to balance supply and demand. Partner with procurement to forecast material needs, minimize shortages, and reduce excess inventory. On-Time Delivery & Resource Optimization Ensure products are delivered on schedule while maintaining cost efficiency. Optimize labor, equipment, and material usage to meet production goals. Manufacturing Metrics & Reporting Track, analyze, and report on key manufacturing metrics (e.g., OEE, cycle time, yield, scrap, capacity utilization). Use data-driven insights to recommend and implement process improvements. Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Operations Management, or a related field. 1+ years of experience in production planning, scheduling, or manufacturing operations. Strong knowledge of production control principles, capacity planning, and inventory management. Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics). Ability to analyze production data and identify trends to improve performance. Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively across departments. Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on efficiency and continuous improvement. Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Lean manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies. Hands-on experience managing metrics such as OEE, takt time, and throughput. Background in high-mix, low- to mid-volume production environments. Familiarity with advanced planning and scheduling tools.
