This role reports to the store’s General Manager (GM). The Assistant General Manager (AGM) is responsible for assisting the GM in day-to-day operations of the dispensary in accordance with local and state standards, and procedures set by the Company. The person in this role needs to be flexible and help the store where they need it most. Essential Functions:

Operations Support and Management Conduct ongoing training and development of Budtenders and Customer Service Representatives (CSR) to ensure consistent performance, knowledge of Company SOPs, understanding of all marijuana products, and best practices for staff and customer relations. Be a positive influence and cheerleader to staff and customers. Assist with Budtender workflow by providing change and routine drawer checks to ensure appropriate cash drops. Work with CSRs to maintain payroll budget by adjusting employee hours based on customer flow. Ensure compliance with all policies, standards, and laws, and treat all team members fairly. Plan and delegate daily goals and tasks to staff to maintain a clean and compliant storefront and back areas. Work with the GM to set and exceed sales, customer service, and profit goals. Help manage performance through observation, feedback, and recognition; conduct quarterly reviews with GM. Respond promptly to staff questions, concerns, or suggestions. Resolve staff conflicts professionally and report resolutions to GM or Operations Manager. Participate in training to improve skills and productivity. Must have open availability, including opening and closing shifts. Reports and Documentation Oversee cash handling and maintain organized financial logs per policies and guidelines. Manage cash payouts with approval, POS entry, and receipts. Assist with POS overrides, adjustments, and discounts. Discuss sales metrics, financial performance, and KPIs regularly with GM. Perform other duties as assigned. Customer Experience Deliver high-level customer service to vendors, customers, and caregivers, ensuring a delightful experience. Protect patient rights by adhering to HIPAA and confidentiality policies. Resolve customer conflicts professionally and report issues to management. Assist in planning and attending community events as a liaison. Inventory Management Maintain full inventory levels on the sales floor and replenish from backstock. Assist GM in reconciling stock and preventing OOS situations, monitor flower levels. Oversee product quality control and remove products not meeting standards. Maintain inventory control systems and conduct scheduled audits to prevent diversion and ensure zero-shrinkage. Ensure full traceability of products from reception to sale. Maintain merchandising standards and attractive displays.
