Our continuing growth has created a new opportunity for a commercially-astute, strategically-minded VP of Business Development to spearhead initiatives targeting consultancies and hyperscalers. This role demands a sophisticated understanding of enterprise sales cycles, partner ecosystems, and value-based selling in complex technical domains. Based in attractive offices in Arlington, VA- in a hybrid working model, you will report directly to our U.S. General Manager. This role is a sales role and includes revenue targets. Successful achievement of these targets will be recognized and rewarded through a competitive and uncapped sales incentive plan. What you'll be doing
Driving Strategic Growth: leading national business development efforts targeting consultancies and hyperscalers, with a focus on long-cycle, high-value enterprise deals. Building Executive Partnerships: cultivating senior relationships across target firms to unlock co-selling opportunities, embedded solutions, and strategic alliances. Negotiating complex agreements and partnership frameworks. Owning the Sales Pipeline: developing and managing a robust pipeline, including forecasting revenue, tracking performance, and ensuring consistent deal progression. Shaping Market Positioning: collaborate with Arqit colleagues in our marketing and product teams to refine messaging for technical buyers and procurement leads. What we're looking for
10+ years in enterprise business development, with at least 5 years selling into consultancies and/or hyperscalers. Proven track record of closing multi-million-dollar deals and navigating complex sales cycles. Expertise and a high level of professional standing within the cybersecurity domain. Strong network across U.S. consulting and hyperscaler ecosystems. Significant executive presence combined with effective negotiation skills at the highest levels. Strategic thinking with strong analytical instincts. An individual comfortable operating in a fast-moving and highly-dynamic environment. Ability to work in the U.S. without restriction. Benefits
