We are seeking an experienced and motivated Early Education Director to lead and develop Kids Junction’s infants through 4K programs. The ideal candidate will be an inspiring leader with a vision for high-quality early childhood education, an ability to effectively coach teachers, and the organizational skills to manage day-to-day responsibilities of a childcare center.
Kids Junction is a large established early childhood center with over 20 years of serving families in Madison, WI and surrounding communities. We are licensed for 295 children aged 6 weeks through 5 years, plus 100 school age children. To support our center, we have several departments including office manager, marketing, enrollment, family accounts, maintenance, kitchen, and HR. These departments are managed by the operations administrator, who will work closely with the Early Education Director for the overall management of Kids Junction.
We are passionate about providing a nurturing, play-based learning environment, rooted in Christian principles, that supports the social, emotional, and academic development of young children.
Our center has the following classrooms:
7 Infant/Toddler
9 Early Preschool
4 Preschool
3 4K
6 After School
Key Responsibilities:
Work with the current leadership team toward the goal of obtaining and maintaining Early Learning Leaders Accreditation, the Wisconsin Department of Children and Families YoungStar rating, and state licensing requirements
Oversee the daily operations of early childhood and preschool programs to ensure a positive learning environment
Work alongside HR to hire, train, and mentor new staff
Conduct annual evaluations of infants through 4K teachers and assistant directors
Conduct professional development training and staff meetings
Manage enrollment, classroom ratios, and transitions
Build strong relationships with families, staff, and the community
Preferred Skills and Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in education, early childhood education, or related field
Educational leadership experience, preferably in early childhood
Proficiency in Microsoft Office
Strong organizational skills
Models grace, professionalism, and teamwork
Strong understanding of and prior involvement in early childhood accreditation process
Experience directing an early childhood center
