About the Opportunity
Jnana Therapeutics is seeking a Senior Research Associate to join our In Vivo Biology team. The ideal candidate will have strong scientific drive and passion for innovation in a team focused environment. This role will conduct in vivo PK/PD and efficacy models to support pharmacology and drug discovery efforts.
Responsibilities
Implement acute PK/PD models to screen novel compounds for autoimmune targets.
Ex-vivo assessment of study samples using MSD, ELISA, and multi-color flow cytometric analysis.
Perform independent data analysis and interpretation to support outlining of next steps and recommendations on research approach.
Clearly document and communicate research outcomes to colleagues at team-level and company-level science meetings.
Occasional weekend monitoring/dosing of studies.
Desired Qualifications & Past Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacology, Biology, or other relevant area with 3+ years of industry experience. Must be highly competent in IV, PO, SC and IP dosing of mice, and in-life and terminal blood collections. Experience running mouse models of autoimmunity is a plus. Many different techniques will be used, and training will be provided, but a desire to quickly gain independence is important. Demonstrate strong communication skills and attention to detail. Must be a scientifically motivated self-starter, able to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment and have a high level of independence for planning and executing project requirements in a timely manner.
