The Department of Dermatology is recruiting a full-time board-certified dermatologist that will support its general dermatology clinic, including providing care for patients with complex dermatology conditions. The candidate will provide primarily outpatient services in the Texas Medical Center on our McNair Campus but is also expected to participate with in-patient consult services of the department. Duties will include direct patient care, participation in the education of trainees, and participation in department meetings/conferences. Opportunities for research, quality improvement, and leadership activities will be strongly supported. Job Duties

· Evaluate new and existing dermatology patients primarily in the outpatient clinic setting. · Develop a treatment plan for patients. · Meet productivity benchmarks established by Baylor Medicine. · Maintain required certifications and licensing. · Become familiar with EPIC (EMR) system, and enter data. · Complete orders for diagnostic services and referrals as needed. · Share call and inpatient consult responsibilities within the clinical group and provide medical care to the patients of other providers when they are not available. · Maintain professionalism in relationships with students, faculty, ancillary and administrative staff. Minimum Qualifications

· Job Experience: Completion of dermatology residency program. Prefer some group practice experience. · Certification/Licensing Requirements: Medical License from Texas Medical Board and Board Certification by the American Board of Dermatology. · Demonstrated excellence in clinical dermatology, genuine interest in teaching, and commitment to academic medicine. · Rank and tenure are dependent upon qualifications.
