Summary
The Department of Neurology at Baylor College of Medicine is seeking a qualified candidate to perform the duties of an attending physician /neurologist at the Baylor St. Luke's Medical Center (BSLMC) inpatient facility. In addition, the candidate will serve as service chief for the floor service at BSLMC. Teaching of medical students, residents and fellows will be embedded in clinical care responsibilities. Job Duties
Clinical responsibilities. In-patient. Evaluation, work up and management of patients as part of the neurology floor service at BSLMC. Serve as Service Chief of the Floor Service at BSLMC. Out-patient. When not on inpatient service, candidate will see patients at the McNair campus. Education responsibilities. Supervision of neurology residents and medical students rotating at the Baylor St. Luke's Medical Center. Such supervision includes history-taking, physical examination, write ups and plan of care for patients in the neurocritical care unit and stroke service. Department specific tasks include clinical care of adult patients. Minimum Qualifications
The candidate must hold an MD, DO, or MD/PhD Hold or able to obtain a Texas medical license The candidate must have successfully completed residency training in adult neurology in an ACGME-accredited program. The candidate must be board-eligible/board-certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. Applicants who have just completed training will be considered as will applicants with previous clinical experience. Faculty appointment will be made based on candidate's experience.
