Postdoctoral Scientist

position is available in the laboratory of Dr. Michael Rosen, in the Department of Biophysics and Howard Hughes Medical Institute at UT Southwestern Medical Center. We seek to recruit individuals skilled in cryoelectron tomography to study the molecular organization of chromatin and biomolecular condensates in vitro and in cells. About Department/Lab:

Our research builds on studies of biochemically reconstituted chromatin condensates, developing methods to determine higher-order organization of chromatin using cryoET. We aim to explore chromatin and other biomolecular condensates, relating structural organization to function across various scales. Members have access to advanced cryoEM facilities and collaborate with experts at Janelia HHMI campus. What we provide:

Education: Ph.D. in a scientific discipline Experience: Experience in cryoelectron microscopy, especially cryoET and cryoFIB milling Skills and Abilities: Strong scientific principles knowledge Independent judgment and method development Ability to perform complex experiments reliably Collaborative and collegial working style Analytical and problem-solving skills Physical Requirements:
