Wellfleet, a Berkshire Hathaway Company, seeks an experienced Product Owner- DocGen/EIS professional to support the Wellfleet Product Team. The Product Owner (PO) is experienced in the health and accident insurance field. The PO is responsible for maximizing the value of the product by providing clarity on a product’s vision and goal. The PO manages the product development process, gathers and prioritizes user needs, creates and maintains a product backlog, and collaborates with cross-functional teams to ensure the product meets customer expectations and delivers value. In this role, you will… Translate and communicate the product vision to Agile development teams utilizing the Scrum framework Collaborate with stakeholders to define product requirements into user stories and acceptance criteria and to produce a clearly defined backlog Implement solutions and prioritize requirements to deliver the best value to the customer and the business Act as a bridge between stakeholders and development teams to understand roadblocks and specifications and recommend actionable solutions Gather, record, and organize feedback to help improve processes, workflow, or product development Oversee development to ensure requirements are implemented effectively within the required timelines Attend appropriate meetings as a representative of the Product Development Team Perform other duties as assigned We are looking for candidates with… Bachelor’s degree in business or related field, and 2+ years’ experience as a Product Owner capacity similar experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience Experience with Workplace Benefits insurance products such as critical illness, accident, hospital indemnity, group life and disability insurance Demonstrate understanding of product management principles and Agile practices Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to recognize and analyze complex problems, identify root causes to evaluate options to implement solutions Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to effectively identify, communicate, and address potential issues Ability to work independently and as a member of the team Self-motivated with a strong work ethic, taking ownership of all work to achieve performance expectations, with minimal supervisory direction Outstanding attention to detail with the ability to problem-solve, conduct thorough research and provide issue resolutions Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work effectively with both internal team members and external vendors Ability to maintain professionalism, composure and diplomacy while working with internal departments and external vendors, under demanding or challenging situations Demonstrated ability to efficiently manage multiple assignments and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment to meet deadlines Strong organizational and time management skills, including thorough and complete follow-up on all time sensitive items Proficiency with MS Office Suites.
