Survey Manager
Land Surveying Department – San Diego Office OR Riverside Office

Qualifications
The preferred candidate will have: California PLS (Professional Land Surveyor license)
At least 5 years of office mapping experience in private land development and public works projects
Thorough knowledge of the California Subdivision Map Act, Professional Surveyors Act, and local Civil Codes
Strong leadership skills and excellent communication abilities
Experience should include: Preparing CAD drawings: boundary surveys, topographic maps, ALTA/NSPS Land Title Surveys, as-builts, subdivision maps, and other survey drawings
Coordinating and processing plans with City and County agencies
Project management, business development, proposal writing, and estimating
Ensuring project goals are met on time
Providing mentorship and direction to junior staff
Overseeing schedules and time management
Technical Skills: Mapping research, boundary analysis, calculations, exhibits, and legal description preparation
Proficiency in Civil 3D (MicroStation Inroads a plus)
Knowledge of Word, Bluebeam, and Excel
Familiarity with Trimble Business Center and Carlson software
Previous field experience preferred
